Pickering Museum Village has served as the set for several productions of Anne of Green Gables, and it has now created an activity that will explore how the site was transformed to do so.
This Whitby area experience will give guests a special sneak peek into how the historic site was used for various film and television productions of the series of stories, and an audio tour with the main character is one of the activities that will be on offer. Lunch is included in the ticket price, and scones will be served alongside the meal. Each attendee will also be able to craft their own tea blend to enjoy.
These themed events will take place on dates from July through until September, and tickets are $40. Along with learning more about the Anne of Green Gables series, the participants will discover details about the life of Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of the books.
One of the ways the host of this type of function can add to the experience is by having period-style materials prepared by a poster printing company. These may be posted on site as well as throughout the community, which will help to create public interest.
