Annual general meetings (AGMs) are held by many not-for-profit organizations, and Whitby’s Chamber of Commerce has set the date for its 2025 AGM.
The Chamber’s membership is encouraged to attend this important activity, which will include the chance to meet the group’s executives, as well as other members. There will be time for mingling and networking before the official program starts, and several area companies have elected to sponsor the gathering.
The function’s program includes highlights of its activities for the past year, and the Treasurer’s and annual Auditor’s reports will be presented for acceptance. The Board of Directors will be introduced, and it will give those who volunteered with various Chamber activities a tip of the hat. The winner of the Jim Lavelle volunteer award will be announced as well. A quorum of at least 40 members is required for there to be a vote to accept the Board, as well as the various reports, and anyone who cannot attend is asked to send a proxy in their place.
When planning an AGM, many organizations choose to distribute Copies of their financial and yearly reports in advance. These can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
The Whitby Chamber of Commerce will be holding its AGM on March 25th. Whitby Town Hall, which is located at 575 Rossland Road East, will be the venue for the evening.
