Many Whitby small businesses look forward to the winter holiday season with great anticipation, and an upcoming workshop will teach them how to take full advantage of the opportunity it presents.
The Business Advocacy Centre Durham (BACD) has scheduled an event that will make it easier for companies to make the most of the winter holiday shopping period. BACD’s Ashley McBride will facilitate the activity, and it is free to register.
The seminar will cover an assortment of topics, and understanding the behaviour of consumers will be at the top of the list. Social media and digital marketing, choosing effective holiday promotions and making the most of seasonal trends will all be discussed, as will tips for offering patrons an enhanced experience. The importance of post-holiday debriefing and follow up will be reviewed, and everyone can ask any questions they have. The goal is for each of the attendees to walk away with a personal tool kit of knowledge they can call on over the next few months.
A workshop provides an opportunity for business owners to pick up some new knowledge and skills. Promotional Pens, notebooks and other handouts for such functions can all be prepared by a local printing services provider.
The “Jingle All the Way to Profit: Small Business Holiday Readiness” learning session is on the way for October 17th. It is scheduled for 3000 Garden Street in Whitby.
