"Celebrating Women in Business: Exploring the Art of Storytelling" is a one-day event that will kick off the celebration of International Women's Day Week in the York Region. It is a presentation of the York Small Business Enterprise Centre and the King Chamber of Commerce.
The price of the tickets to this event includes breakfast, lunch and the use of the facilities at the Kingbridge Conference Centre. The day will consist of speakers, workshops, a marketplace, round table discussions and networking opportunities.
The keynote speaker will be Judy Madden of the CBC. Other speakers include Hilary Van Welter, Karen Eastwood and Marianne Taggio. The workshops have topics such as "Brand story through the universal language of images and sound", "Power of words: uncovering your wow", "Networking for growth" and "Play with Prezi: a powerful presentation platform." Guests can also shop at the marketplace which will feature women-run businesses.
This event will probably attract women from all over York Region, including Newmarket, who want to learn how to make their business more successful. Local Print companies are often asked to help spread the word about events like this by providing products such as Posters or Flyers.
