Newmarket locals and those from the other communities that are served by Southlake Regional Health Centre are asked to join in an event that will raise funds for this healthcare facility.
‘Run or Walk for Southlake’ will see people from all over the region come together to support the hospital. There will be several different events to choose from, including a 10km, 5km, 2.5km, and a mini mile for kids who are eight years of age or younger. To add to the festive spirit of the day, there will be live music and a Kid Zone with a bounce castle, face painting and entertainment for the little ones.
The title sponsor for this year’s fundraiser is Nature’s Emporium. This is the fourth year that the company has helped to support the event.
Those who are interested in taking part can register online. Everyone who will be participating is asked to raise at least $20 (student) or $75 (adult) either by donating their own money or seeking pledges from friends, family or others. A Print company can provide a variety of materials such as T-Shirts, Flyers and Banners to help promote activities such as this to the community.
Run or Walk for Southlake will take place on May 1 at the Stronach Aurora Recreation Centre.
