The Chamber of Commerce in bustling Newmarket, Ont., is offering a wide array of seminars, workshops and courses that are designed to keep small businesses on their toes.
The first is Wed. Oct 27, 2010 in the Chamber offices on Davis Drive. Successful Online Relationship Building is a morning session that will profile companies that have enjoyed successful partnerships in the community using email and similar marketing activities via the Internet. Learn how to sustain current relationships with customers and how to reach out to prospective clients. The session will show participants how to construct an effective contact list, which, when used effectively, can be leveraged to increase your business. Whether you’re a retailer, an insurance agent or a small printer in Newmarket with a flyer printing a specialty, the presentation will lead an exploration through organizations similar to yours which have been successful in managing to connect with clients online.
The cost for this session in the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce Power Learning series is $25 for members and $45 for non-members. Seating is limited.
The Chamber has also announced that registration for next spring’s Home and Lifestyle Show is open. Initial reports indicate that 70 Newmarket and area businesses booked booths in the first week that registration was open, so the show promises to be busy with high traffic volume expected. The show to be held April 1 - 3, 2011 at the Magna Centre.
Senior officials at the Newmarket Chamber are still planning a trip to China with members.
