Outdoor music series to play again in Newmarket

Describing itself as “Newmarket’s most popular event”, the TD Newmarket Music Series will be returning for its annual summer season.

The concert series features tribute bands capturing artists from throughout music history, with all concerts free to attend. The series kicks off with the country-inspired Blame It All On Their Roots, paying tribute to Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, and other acts include Neon Nostalgic, The Beatles tribute group The Liverpool 4, and 80s pop performers the George St. Kitts Band. Each concert will also have an original opening act, including East Coast Music Awards winner Morgan Toney. The Newmarket Food Pantry will be collecting non-perishable items for those in need.

The 2023 series will see the return of the Newmarket Backstage Lounge area, which provides complementary chairs and umbrellas as well as a LED screen. and a number of different food and drink vendors including Old Flame Brewing Company and the North Newmarket Lions. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, as well as a reusable water bottle that can be filled up on site. Outdoor concerts and festivals are popular summer events, often promoted through poster printing and local media marketing, and provide a source of exposure for local artists.

The 2023 TD Newmarket Music Series will run every Thursday from July 6 to August 24 at the Newmarket Riverwalk Commons.
