After Halloween has come and gone, Newmarket will be giving pumpkins one last moment in the spotlight, and everyone in the community is invited to be part of the friendly competition.
The Pumpkin Parade will be a collection of jack-o'-lanterns that have been crafted in the local area, and they will be on display in Riverwalk Commons. The presenting sponsor for the occasion is Riverwalk Wealth.
Both carved and painted entries are welcome, and as LED tea lights will be provided, candles are not needed. Those who are interested can drop their pumpkin off on the afternoon of the event, and they will be on site for members of the public to view for two hours. Each entry will have a number so people can vote, and the attendees can cast their vote in four different categories. The winner will receive a gift card they can redeem at a Newmarket eatery of their choice.
Seasonal events like this give community members the chance to come together to enjoy a fun experience. Materials prepared by a flyer printing company can be effective in getting the word out about an upcoming activity.
Newmarket residents who would like to show off their creativity when it comes to pumpkin carving are encouraged to drop off their entry at 200 Doug Duncan Drive from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on November 1st. The event will begin at 6:30 pm.
