Newmarket seminar to focus on charcuterie boards

An upcoming special event in Newmarket will feature a crash course in the art of creating charcuterie boards – with plenty of chances to taste test.

The workshop is being hosted by Always on Board, a local company that specializes in creating charcuterie boards with local ingredients that it calls “edible experiences”. While it may seem simple to put together a plate of smoked meat, cheese, crackers and other finger food, the seminar will focus on the finer points of pairing ingredients and presentation elements, such as folding cold cuts and serving them alongside the right wine. Leanne of Always ON Board will provide step-by-step guidance in composing an assortment of food.

The ticket price for the workshop will include a pint of beer from the host, Market Brewing. There will also be photo opportunities, with an emphasis on creating “Instagrammable” food that can be posted on social media.

Educational events like this can help small businesses grow their profile locally, alongside tools like flyer printing and social media. In addition to this seminar, Always on Board has also partnered with Market Brewing for other events, such as trivia nights, in recent months.

The Always on Board Charcuterie Board Workshop will take place on the evening of November 10th, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the Market Brewing Company.
