Camping is a staple summer activity for many families, and those in Newmarket have been issued an invitation to join their neighbors in a family campout, whether they are “tenderfeet” or seasoned experts.
The town’s Environmental Park, which can be found off Woodspring Avenue, will serve as the venue for the first night under the starts, and Fairy Lake Park will be the site of the second. Members of the public are invited to bring their tent and cooler full of treats, and they can enjoy a traditional camp style meal. There will also be games to play for young and old alike, and once the sun goes down, it will be time for a bonfire and freshly made s’mores. The next morning, there will be an opportunity to socialize with new friends while enjoying a heart camper’s breakfast.
This summertime event is being brought to the community courtesy of the Town and Newmarket recreation and Culture Department. The fee to participate has been set at $15.00 each. A local printer will be able to supply an event such as this with Banners and other printed materials.
