Newmarket hosts studio tour and art show

Art lovers from all over were invited to come to Newmarket’s downtown core to enjoy the works of local artists.

It was the seventh year for the Newmarket Studio Tour and Art Show, which was put together by the Newmarket Group of Artists. They created a path, which could be completed on foot, which connected the different locations where their works would be displayed. There were 16 different venues that showcased the talents of 35 artists.

The pieces on display ranged from photography to stained glass, metal, ceramics, paintings and more. The artists were also on hand to meet the public and discuss their works with them, which can give an added insight that can be hard to get any other way. As many as 2,000 people were expected to come out and enjoy the opportunity to experience the creativity that can be fund right in their very own community.
