The American franchise Target is set to open in the Greater Toronto Area Spring 2013, meaning lots printed advertising about potential jobs and sales during the upcoming months, which will no doubt keep local printing companies busy.
Already recruiting via billboard and banner printing at former Zellers locations across Canada, Target will also be hosting job fairs in Aurora and Newmarket to recruit successful applicants for an eclectic variety of positions, including sales floor help, overnight associates, logistics personnel, cashiers, and loss prevention officers. Job fairs to fill wage positions in Newmarket are currently being held at the Best Weston Voyageur Place Hotel, but come to an end tomorrow, December 22. Applicants will be recruited to work at the Upper Canada Mall location in Newmarket or Aurora Shopping Centre.
Expecting to open 24 stores in the months of March and April, a large number of jobs have already been filled this fall and printers are sure to be busy in the upcoming months up until the grand openings.
Local printing companies will doubtlessly play an important role in the successful startup of Target. Local printers are helping to recruit job applicants through printed promotions and will be involved in advertising deep discounts and information about product launches at the franchise - both during and after grand opening. Printers may also help promote the company’s corporate image, which strives to represent Target as an ethical company and a great place to work.
By 2014, Target hopes to serve Atlantic Canada and British Columbia and will have opened an impressive 125 to 135 stores.
