Newmarket event set to help homeless animals

The 5th annual Doggieville's Woof and Cheese Fundraiser Open House is taking place in Newmarket at the weekend, with all proceeds going benefit the Helping Homeless Pets rescue charity. Guests are encouraged to bring their canine friends with them.

There is set to be a full day of activities at the fundraiser, catering for both people and their pets. The fun on offer will involve a barbeque, birthday cakes, and ‘pawdicures’. Sheila Trecartin, an animal communicator, will be on hand providing free mini-readings with pets.

There will also be face painting stalls for the children, indoor dog play sessions, and several raffles. The Mr and Mrs Doggieville Pageant will be taking place during the day, with special contests for ‘waggiest tail’, ‘best dressed’ and ‘best trick’. Ribbons will be handed out to winners.

Vendors are expected to get involved with the annual fundraiser and will be selling pet-related items such as clothing, food, and accessories. Guests also have the opportunity to take a tour of Doggieville and have a professional photography session with their pets. The event will cater for dog lovers of all ages.

Newmarket printing companies may have been called upon to provide the organizers of the event with marketing products like Flyers, which can be distributed in the city. Banners can also be used to decorate the facility for the open house.
