Networking at the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce

The Newmarket Chamber of Commerce provides many opportunities for local business people to network with one another. They provide several monthly and annual networking opportunities, in addition to hands-on workshops. Companies who provide business card printing services in the area will most likely be called upon to provide their product to those who regularly attend such events.

One major event hosted by the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce is the annual golf tournament. This year the tournament will be held on September 20th at Pheasant Run Golf Course. Green fees are $185 and includes, golf, a networking lunch, a golf cart, dinner and prizes; dinner only is $50. This is a relaxed way to network with your fellow business people.

The Chamber of Commerce also holds two networking events every month; the next monthly breakfast meeting will take place on September 13 and the next After Hours event will take place on September 15. These events are open to both members and those who wish to become members.

Hands-on workshops sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce are also good chances to network. The next workshop scheduled is Email Marketing: Writing Great Subject Lines for Email and Social Media on September 21. This workshop will teach you how to reach customers quickly and effectively through email. It will show you how to create a subject line that will make people want to look at that email and also how to draw people to online places such as your company’s Facebook page.
