Fundraiser to help fight women's cancers

The Just Us Girls fundraiser is taking place in Newmarket in a few weeks’ time. Proceeds will go to support the Canadian Cancer Society.

The event is primarily for women, although men are welcome to attend. There will be new product displays, health and beauty information and health tips. Several stations will be set up on specific topics including nutrition, cancer prevention, glamour and organizing your life. The glamour station will be providing hair care, nail care and massages.

Other activities include a silent auction and the "digging for gold" game. Speakers will include Shawn Nisbet on the topic of "How stress affects your life", Rosy Tersigni on "Simply your life" and Janice Hodgson will provide guests with a free prevention tool.

In addition, there will be hors d'oeuvres, tea, coffee and dessert. All guests will also receive a swag bag filled with samples, coupons and promotional items.

It is very likely that silent auction items were donated by local businesses in order to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Many of those businesses will no doubt want to let their current customers know about the event. This is often done by ordering services such as flyer printing from Newmarket Print companies.
