Thanks to town council approval, a brand new fitness facility will be coming to the Magna Centre sometime in the early part of 2017.
The plan calls for the space
in the centre that formerly housed a restaurant to be converted into a municipally run fitness centre. It will include an area of between 2,500 and 3,000 square feet that will be used for physical activity and also a teaching kitchen where people can learn to prepare healthy meals.
The total price tag for the project is slated to come in at around $300,000. Part of the arrangement for the space includes the possibility of engaging Magna to provide food services for the facility.
In their projected scenarios for the site, the town felt the conversion could allow it to generate over $105,000 in net profits by its third year. It was also conservatively estimated that it could attract a membership of 1,400 - though it could accommodate up to 3,000 should there be enough interest. A variety of Promotional Products can be designed to help let he public know the new centre will soon be opening its doors.
The goal is to begin construction soon and complete it throughout the rest of 2016. This would allow it to be open and ready for business at the start of 2017. The council felt this was important, as many people want to get in shape at the start of the new year and will sign up for fitness memberships at that time.
