After a successful first year, the Newmarket Craft Beer Winter Festival will be back this March for a full weekend.
The event is a spin-off from the annual summer Newmarket Community Craft Beer Festival, which began three years ago. Its goal is to provide entertainment and education about beer brewing as well as a chance for visitors to sample the products of local microbreweries. Under the current schedule, the event will kick off with an opening “Beer & Tacos Party” at the Newmarket Legion. Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated to a beer garden-like experience, with five three-hour sessions spread out over two days where visitors can purchase tickets.
Ticket buyers will receive tickets with which to purchase pours. In addition over 15 breweries, spirit creators, and cideries, there will be food and artisanal vendors, live music, and games and activities. There will also be culinary workshops, other entertainment, and an outdoor craft beer bar which doesn’t require tickets. Craft beer and microbreweries have experienced a surge in popularity in recent years, using local events like this one to draw attention to themselves along with playful and imaginative titling and Logo Design.
