Craft beer fest headed to Newmarket
This summer will see the annual Community Craft Beer Fest in Newmarket. The best of local drink, food and live entertainment will be brought together for the community to enjoy.
The festival includes over 15 local craft breweries and cideries. Announced participants include Founder’s Original, The George Brewing Co. and Redline Brewhouse, with announcements continuing in the lead-up to the festival. There will also be food providers such as Auntie Jo’s Kettle Corn and The Little Red Bake Shop, as well as miscellaneous vendors ranging from Green Storage to the York Region Arts Council. Events such as this, often advertised through flyer printing and social media, can be a major source of new customers for small businesses.
Visitors will receive tokens with their tickets which they can use to purchase drinks from the craft beer bar. The Community Craft Beer Fest will also include two days of live music and entertainment, including local DJs and groups such as the Focklers and versatile cover group the Sons of Ringo. Other activities include yoga and Zumba workshops, a free massage station, and a book signing by author Patrick Gossage. The organizers of the event also host the annual Newmarket Home Show Craft Beer Bar and Prince Edward County Craft Beer Festival.
