The Partners in Prevention health and safety conference is taking place in Thornhill later this month.
The event is set to feature seminars, breakfast, lunch, e-learning, an interactive health fair, and a pop-up bookstore. Guests can choose up to four of the 20 concurrent seminar sessions on offer, with topics such as ‘Drug and Alcohol Testing of Employees: What's the Latest?’, ‘Using Mobile Apps to Manage Compliance’ and ‘Electrical Safety for Non-Electrical Workers’. The e-learning lab allows participants to get certification in OHS.
In addition, there will be a display of research Posters and information. Exhibitors will include representatives of health and safety organizations, as well as manufacturers who provide equipment and products to the public and commercial sectors. The bookstore is expected to sell products related to the topics covered during the conference.
Keynote speakers at the event will include Garrison Wynn at the breakfast and Brian Thwaits, who will discuss how to ‘Train your Brain’ at the lunch session.
Those who are interested can also take part in a Ministry of Labour consultation session the day before the conference.
No doubt this expo will attract interest from people all over the York region, including Newmarket. Often, local printing companies help by providing marketing products such as Flyers and posters for organizers to distribute in the community.
Partners in Prevention is taking place at the Le Parc Conference and Event Centre in Thornhill on November 26, with doors open from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
