The Newmarket Arts Council is currently holding a competition to find its next logo.
The Logo Design Contest is open to all residents of Newmarket. Each person can submit up to three entries. All of the work must be original, submitted in both color and black and white, and must be suitable to be used on a variety of products such as Signs, Posters, and the organization's website.
The winner of the contest will be awarded $500 in cash and a one-year membership with the Newmarket Arts Council. Submissions are due by 4:00pm on May 30th, and the winner will be notified on June 16th.
For those who may want submit a design for the contest, many may choose to get inspiration by attending local art shows. One such event taking place this May is the 21st annual Lemonville Group of Artists Show and Sale. Group members will be showcasing and selling a variety of works. Admission is free, and there will be an opening reception in which the public can meet the artists.
Whatever design wins, no doubt the Newmarket Arts Council will be printing it on a variety of advertising materials. Local Print companies are usually asked to help when a company or an organization changes elements of its brand.
