Tea festival steeping in Milton

The Milton Public Library will be hosting the 2025 edition of TeaFest this May, aiming to bring together tea lovers from near and far.

The festival will feature over 30 specialty tea vendors, including Foggy River Farm, Soul Tea Company, Fleur Palace, and Backed by Bees. In addition to tea leaves and hot drinks, vendors will offer teaware, related goods, and a limited food selection. There will also be demonstrations and workshops dealing with tea history and culture as well as practical brewing and pouring techniques. Interested people are encouraged to register for educational programs in advance. The event aims to appeal to both experienced tea connoisseurs and neophytes, with the goal of creating community among tea-lovers.

The festival is scheduled to coincide with May observances such as Asian Heritage Month and Mother’s Day. Admission for the festival is free, but visitors are encouraged to bring canned or non-perishable food donations for local organization Food for Life. Attendees are asked to bring their own re-usable bag or purchase one from the Library. Festivals like this often use methods such as poster printing and social media to help raise awareness and encourage attendance. All visitors will also have the chance to win a tea-related door prize.

The 2025 Teafest will take place on May 3 at the Sherwood Community Centre in Milton.
