Radfest to return to Milton

One of Milton’s biggest summer festivals will return this September as Radfest combines music and food for an all-day celebration.

The event is the 4th annual edition of Radfest, put on by the Rad Brothers bar and restaurant. The festival will feature local groups from a variety of genres with a focus on rock and alternative. Announced to headline is Merritt Driven, a veteran trio of musical brothers from Milton, with at least a dozen bands total in the plans. The festival area will be lined with food trucks offering a selection of Milton’s local restaurants and a fully licensed beer garden. There will be games and activities aimed at all ages, with children under 12 entering free.

Proceeds from Radfest go towards local charities, with over $15,000 raised from the previous three editions. The event also advertises itself as an opportunity for exposure for local businesses, with sponsor tents set up on the festival grounds and local sponsor logos included in the festival’s banner printing and other signage. This year’s Radfest has adopted a “Field of Dreams” theme because of its new setting in a large outdoor field, designed to have room for thousands of attendees.

The 2022 installment of Radfest is set to take place on September 19 at Milton Sports Centre Community Park from noon to midnight.
