The 11th annual Inspiring Women Event is taking place at the end of this month. It is a presentation of the Kitchener – Waterloo Chamber of Commerce and the Waterloo Region Small Business Center.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Celebrate her story’ and several guest speakers will be telling their story to attendees. The speakers that have already been confirmed are author Amanda Lindhour, Sherri Stevens of the Women’s Executive Network, and former captain of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team Cassie Campbell-Pascall.
Those attending are encouraged to donate items to Dress for Success which provides women in need with proper business attire. Items needed are clothing, shoes and accessories.
Guests will be treated to a Dress for Success stylist spotlight and will be served lunch.
There will also be a number of exhibit booths from mostly women-owned businesses. Spaces are still available for $700 each.
This is a networking opportunity for career women in the Kitchener and Waterloo area. No doubt most of them will be bringing along their premium Business Cards to exchange with those they meet.
The Inspiring Women Event will be held at Bingemans in Kitchener on Thursday, September 28 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Tickets are $150 each or $1,100 for a table of eight. To learn more about this annual event, contact Teri Egerdeen at 519-749-6048.
