Art walk to return to central Kitchener

The K-W Central Art Walk will once again be taking place this October, aiming to highlight local creators in the Tri-City region.

The Art Walk is a community studio tour where local painters, sculptors and other artists will open up their workspaces for interested visitors to explore. There will be six locations opened up, with each one featuring multiple artists. Participating artists include Juniper Webber Massel, J. Ryan Brooks and Siqi Huang.

The tour will reflect multiple media including painting, photography, pottery and weaving. Artists will also have works available for sale. Events like the Art Walk can use brochure printing to provide a handheld guide with a map of the locations and listings of artists. Brochures can be distributed ahead of the event through stores in the central and uptown neighbourhoods as well as online.

The total walk is about two kilometres, with visitors encouraged to bring water and comfortable walking clothing. The Art Walk has become an annual staple, with the event’s website describing it as:
“A yearly studio tour and sale in the beautiful Kitchener neighbourhoods bounded by King, Victoria, Weber and Union streets. Come visit and get a chance to see artists in their own studios, displaying fine art, jewelry, paintings, food, photography, pottery, glass, collage and fibre arts.”

The 2026 K-W Central Art Walk will take place on October 3 and 4 at select locations in downtown Kitchener.
