Food festival to bite into Kitchener

The Bite By Bite food festival will be returning to Kitchener this April after a successful debut event.

This event will include over 15 restaurants from the Kitchener area, all offering samples of their best food and drink. Attendees will receive a passport that allows them to try a “bite” from each exhibitor, including both sweet and savoury tastes. Eaters can then vote for their favourite bites, with the top restaurants honoured at the end of the day.

There will also be a juried competition, with a Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice award for booth sweet and savoury offerings. This year’s event will expand upon the debut by offering two different three-hour tasting windows, and higher compensation for the participating businesses. There will also be live music and entertainment to help create an enjoyable experience.

Culinary events like this often serve as an opportunity for restaurants, bakers, and other businesses to win over new customers. These exhibitors can hand out Menus or Business Cards to help make this connection. Advertising for Bite by Bite emphasizes its intention to bring the downtown Kitchener, or DTK, food scene together:

“BITE BY BITE is more than a competition, it’s a celebration of community. Come embrace DTK’s diverse culinary landscape and find your new favourite dining spot.”

The 2026 edition of Bite By Bite will take place at the Crowne Plaza Kitchener-Waterloo Hotel on April 12.
