The show will feature a number of guests taking part in panels, signings and other events. Guests will include voice actors like Lex Lang, comic artists such as Payton Atkinson, and cosplay content creators like Dances in Shadows. Academy Award-winning set designer Roger Christian will be this year’s Special Guest. Attendees can learn about art, costume and prop making, technology, storytelling and more through exclusive workshops.
The convention will also include an artist’s alley and vendor hall, with booths from over 100 local creators, sellers and collectors offering unique items. Vendors at conventions like this often use banner printing and other signage with recognizable characters and colourful artwork to help draw attention. The event will also include screenings of animation, fan films, and feature films past and present.
Fans can also show off their skills in contests and competitions, including costume showdowns and a charity auction. KW Comic Con is hosted by local volunteers and fans, alongside sponsoring businesses and organizations. The convention says their goal is:
“to build an inclusive, community-friendly event for fans of all ages.”
The 2026 edition of KW Comic Con will take place at The Aud in Kitchener on June 20 and 21.
