Top chef to launch Kitchener restaurant

If plans come to fruition, Kitchener residents will soon have a new restaurant to experience in the city’s downtown area.

Chef Jonathan Gushue, who is known across the country, is hoping to open up a new eatery that will be called ‘The Berlin’.

This will be the first time that the former executive chef at Langdon Hall will have his own establishment, which is set to open at 41 King Street West. This will put it at the centre of the community, where it can easily be reached by its transit system.

The restaurant will have seating for 200 people, and will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 11am until 10:30pm, Friday and Saturdays from 11am until 11pm, and Sundays from 10:30am until 4:00pm. A Stationery printing firm will be able to provide all the items a new business such as this requires, like printed Menus, staff name tags, blank order Forms, Business Cards, and much more.

As well as working at Langdon Hall, Gusue has previously been employed to supervise the expansion that took place at Queen Margherita Pizza in Toronto, where he also redesigned the establishment’s menu.

According to a staff report made to Kitchener city council, Gushue is a well-known chef and he is very much looking forward to starting his business in the city’s downtown core.
