Popular annual festival returns to the city this summer

The 11th annual Downtown Kitchener Ribfest and Craft Beer Show is returning to the city for three days this July. This popular festival regularly attracts over 30,000 visitors.

Featured food for purchase will be ribs and chicken; in order to buy food visitors must have already bought a sample wristband for $6, which is good for the entire three days. Over 50 craft beers samples will also be available; each sample of four ounces costs $1.

Several local bands will be on hand to entertain the crowd. Confirmed acts for this year's festival include the Ian Ross Band, The Hot Karls, and the Killing Time Band.

This year, a Kids’ Fun Zone will be set up and will include lots of activities, including face painting and bounce houses. Children can purchase a $20 unlimited activity wristband or individual tickets that cost $3 for one, $10 for four, or $20 for 10.

In addition, a variety of local retail vendors will also be participating in the festival. Many of them may decide to provide free promotional items to those who stop by their booths. They are often supplied for a reasonable price by Kitchener Print companies.

The Ribfest and Craft Beer Show is being held at Victoria Park from July 18th to 20th. Admission is free, but donations to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region are appreciated. Visit the official website for more information.
