Skateboarders now have a new place to enjoy their sport as a new park has been unveiled in the city, in Fischer Park.
Open to those who use scooters, boarders and dirt bikes alike, the new facility offers its users a variety of rails and ramps. The idea for the park came after a series of workshops and other meetings with the area’s youth to find out what they wanted and where it should be put. They felt that Fischer Park was an ideal spot. They pointed out that it can easily be accessed by public transit, and it is also in a location that is home to a high number of youths.
The price tag for the structure came in at around $700,000, and plans are in the works for another to be built at Southwest Optimist Park sometime before 2017. A firm that provides printing services will be able to produce any Signs or other items that are needed for the new facility.
Those who attended the grand opening of the skate park noted that they are pleased that it has been installed and that they plan on making good use of it. They feel that it is in a good location that they can get to easily and is also close to restaurants and other establishments where they can get a bite to eat when they want to take a break from skateboarding or other activities.Get a Free Quote for Signs
