Kitchener to help kids with disabilities enjoy summer camp

When it comes to summer camp, Kitchener believes that disabled kids should have the chance to join the fun too, and a fundraiser has been organized to help make that happen.

In early May, the community will be hosting its inaugural Every Kid Counts Day. The activity will ensure that disabled youngsters have the support they need to be able to experience summer camp, and it is targeted at the Kitchener Waterloo area.

The event will open with a barbecue, and food will be served for as long as supplies last. This will be followed by a live concert, and the Lady Glaze Doughnut truck will be on site as well. Two Toonie Swims have been scheduled, and anyone who would like to sign up for one can do so in advance. There will be other fun on the schedule as well, and many of the offerings will be free of charge.

When organizing a fundraiser, planners often find themselves working with a strict budget. Print shops can help them stay on track by providing cost-effective promotional materials.

The Every Kid Counts Day fundraiser will help to make sure all Kitchener kids can experience the fun of summer camp from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm on May 4th. It will take place at 600 Heritage Drive.
