Canadian roots icons headed to Kitchener

Long-running Canadian roots rock band Blue Rodeo will be making a two-night stand in Kitchener this January with a pair of live concerts.

The band will be playing songs from their extensive back catalogue, which includes hits like “Try”, “5 Days in May” and “Hasn’t Hit Me Yet”, along with deep cuts and stories from the group’s three decades in the Canadian music industry. The touring group is led by original vocalists and guitarists Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor and bassist Bazil Donovan, as well as featuring more recent additions.

The two Kitchener dates are part of “Lost Together – the 40th Anniversary Tour”, commemorating the release of the band’s breakthrough hit. The tour kicked off in October 2025 and will conclude with performances in Montreal and Toronto shortly following the Kitchener appearances.

Both nights will be opened by special guest Adam Baldwin, a folk singer-songwriter from Nova Scotia who will be playing songs from his recent album Concertos & Serenades. Long-running bands often use anniversaries as occasions for tours featuring their classic hits, often using familiar album artwork on flyer printing and other local media advertising. Promotional material says that the band:

“Has defined the sound of Canadian roots rock with their signature blend of folk, country, and rock.”

Blue Rodeo’s “Lost Together – the 40th Anniversary Tour” will visit Kitchener’s Centre in the Square on January 9 and 10.
