Canada Day is around the corner, and the Kitchener Waterloo area has lots of fun on the way for young and old alike.
The area has plans in the works for a community picnic. It will be on offer in Waterloo Park, and in honour of the country’s birthday, the organizers have pulled out all the stops.
This afternoon event will provide artists, makers and other creatives with a chance to show off their talents in the vendor market, and food trucks will be parked on site, providing the crowd with a tasty way to support its culinary community. Both individuals and families can try their hand at the giant games available, and local not-for-profit and cultural groups have all been invited to book a booth or table in the festivities.
Any community groups that feel this function is a good fit for them are welcome to submit an application to set up shop, and the final date to do so is June 18th. A brochure printing company will be pleased to provide a range of handout styles that may be suitable for distributing during a city celebration.
This salute to Canada will be kicking off at 4:00 pm on July 1st, and the fun will keep on going until 10:30 pm. Application Forms and other information can be found by visiting the City of Waterloo website.
