This winter, a February luncheon will offer fare that’s both simple and tasty, and business people and members of the general community have been asked to make this annual Kitchener tradition a big success.
The Child Witness Centre supports children and youth who, through no actions of their own, have come into contact with the legal system. These young witnesses often need extra support, and the centre is able to provide them with a variety of services that can help.
During the Pancake Lunch, which has become one of the centre’s signature fundraisers, an assortment of guests from the local area will be able to meet and mingle. Tickets for the meal are $30, and while diners enjoy a stack of pancakes fresh off the grill, they will be lending a hand to kids who have been through a tough time.
This sort of function often depends on the support of the local corporate community, and Kitchener businesses that would like to get involved have been offered a variety of ways to help.
