Kitchener offered chance to help save lives

Kitchener Waterloo will be welcoming the public for a blood donation event, and those who choose to take part so can walk away knowing they may have helped to save a life.

To help keep the New Year's Day Blood Donation Event running smoothly and to prevent the spread of Covid, appointments are necessary, and there are lots of time slots to choose from.

When they arrive, each donor will be asked some basic questions and will receive a simple health check. After this, they will be able to make their contribution and relax outside with some cookies and a glass of juice. The entire process takes approximately one hour, and the donation system is administered by Canadian Blood Services. While all blood types are needed, Type O+ and O- are in high demand.

In many cases, those who make a contribution to a not-for-profit fundraiser or other drive like this are interested to know how their support is making a difference. Brochure printing companies can be called on to provide leaflets and other informative materials that use both text and graphics to show how such support benefits others.

The New Year's Day Blood Donation Event will take place at 94 Bridgeport Road East in Waterloo. Appointments can be booked between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Face masks are mandatory.
