A community wide initiative in the Kitchener, Waterloo, Barrie, and Windsor areas is hoping to raise awareness about the prevalent problem of bullying and take action in institutions, especially local schools.
Supported by non-profit organizations, select schools, and local businesses in the area, anyone concerned about bullying can sign their own personal pledge to be respectful and courteous to others and stand up against bullying in their own area.
Currently online, the Kitchener 'Pledge to End Bullying' allows readers to upload the pledge in a number of languages and post their commitment online. The joint initiative also provides viewers with a number of resource links, as well as crisis and support contacts, to help both victims of bullying and perpetrators. The campaign has so far raised over 136,000 pledges, with more individuals and organizations being added every day.
Committed members are also called to live out the Pledge to End Bullying, and local printers can go a long way in helping eradicate bullying in local communities and ensure the pledge is a success. In addition to the use of social networking, the dissemination of information and printed resources to parents and schools to educate the community about the various faces of bullying is one important way printers can become involved in the community effort. Participating schools, homes, and organizations also hang banner printing and Posters promoting the pledge, and printers can become involved in the printing of materials for anti-bullying rallies and assemblies in schools.Get a Free Quote for Posters
