Kitchener Kinsmen to host fundraising evening

A blustery March day and a bowl of steaming hot soup go hand in hand, and the Kitchener-Waterloo branch of the Kinsmen have invited the public to enjoy sampling a variety of soups in support of a local cause.

Soupfest will see all ages sample soups prepared by area culinary artists, and while they savour the flavorful broths, chowders and other offerings, they will be helping to support KW Habilitation. Adult, child and family tickets are all available, and special VIP passes are also on offer.

Each person who purchases an adult ticket will be entitled to sample three soups, while the children’s passes can be redeemed for two. The VIP option will entitle the bearer to three samples as well as a Soupfest Spooner Mug, printed with a fun graphic design, and family ticket packages are also available. Whichever pass a person chooses, they can feel good knowing they are helping their neighbours living with developmental delays achieve their full potential as members of the community.

The organizers of this “souper” fundraiser noted that there will be enough portions to feed up to 500 ticket holders. They will be able to stop by the venue any time between 4pm and 8pm to pick up their soup and bread.

Maxwell Concerts and Events will be welcoming those who wish to support their neighbours on March 18th. The KW Habilitation website includes more details about the day.
