Kitchener event to celebrate local green thumbs

This fall, Kitchener will be celebrating its horticultural side with an event that will help to bring life and colour to the city.

The Kitchener in Bloom program provides a way to recognize the efforts of the city's home gardeners and businesses, and last year, it celebrated the talents of 500 local green thumbs. A special gathering was planned in their honour and it attracted a crowd of 200.

Along with recognising the efforts of the city’s gardeners, this year’s event will give companies and organizations space to set up a booth or other display. There are 24 spaces on offer, and the planners explained they will allocate an equal number to both businesses and not-for-profits. A committee will review each application to determine if it is relevant to the event.

A gathering like this can present a useful opportunity to a business or organization, and if they visit a brochure printing company, they will be well prepared for the occasion. It can also supply an assortment of promotional Pens, gardener’s Notebooks and other items to distribute to attendees.

The 2020 Kitchener in Bloom event will be taking place on September 16th, starting at 5:30pm. It will be held in the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda, and the final date to submit an application to participate as an exhibitioner will be August 21st.
