In Kitchener this fall, a class will teach how to make primitive style ornaments using materials sourced from the natural world.
Kwartzlab and Mindful Makers will be hosting a workshop that will teach how to make simple pinecone ornaments, and it will be an adults-only session. Once the participants learn the steps to follow, they will be able to customize their creation so that they can keep it for themselves or give to someone special.
Each of the participants will craft their own pinecone people, and the materials needed to complete the project will be supplied. While they work, they will have a chance to meet others who also enjoy working with their hands, and when the event is over, they will be able to take their creation home with them.
An afternoon of creativity offers a welcome break from the hectic holiday season, and it can also be an opportunity for the attendees to make some handmade gifts for the special people on their list. A flyer printing service will be able to aid in promoting the function to those who live in the local area.
This workshop will be welcoming Kitchener’s creative adults on December 6, and it is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm. The venue for the function is located at 145 Bedford Road.
