Becoming a new parent can be both an exciting and scary time, and a Kitchener class series is set to help future moms and dads to hit the ground running.
Over a series of three sessions, the participants in the prenatal class hosted by Balancing From Birth to Baby will see expecting mothers and fathers become better prepared for birth and the first weeks of a baby’s life. It will be a relaxed and non-judgemental environment, and the instruction provided has been designed so that it is honest and straightforward.
The parents-to-be will discuss a variety of topics openly, and both the physical and emotional aspects of parenting will be covered. Comfort techniques for pregnancy and labour, pain relief and some of the more common medical interventions will be introduced, and the postpartum period, including newborn care, feeding, sleeping and comforting, have been included in the syllabus as well.
The class has enough space for up to six couples to participate, and each of the three workshops will run for three and half hours. Learning materials for this type of activity can be both designed and produced by area Print shops.
These traditional prenatal classes will take place on August 10th, 17th and 24th. They will all start at 6:00 pm and will be offered via a virtual platform.
