The 12th annual Inspiring Women Event is taking place next month in Kitchener. It is presented by the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce and the Waterloo Region Small Business Centre.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Passion is purpose” and it will feature five successful businesswomen who will tell their story. Those appearing at this year’s conference are Elizabeth Heald from the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation, Jody O’Malley and Kirstie Herbstreit of The Culinary Studio and The Well, Sarah Richardson, interior designer and HGTV host and entrepreneur Zahra Al-Harazi. They will talk about the challenges they have faced on the way to become a success in their various businesses.
The day will also feature several networking breaks. There will also be a number of exhibit booths representing local women-run businesses. Booths are still available for $700 each which includes two tickets to the event.
Those attending are encouraged to bring businesses appropriate clothing, shoes and accessories to be donated to The Green Door’s Dress for Success program.
No doubt most of the women attending this Kitchener event will be bringing along their Business Cards.
The Inspiring Women Event is taking place at Bingemans on September 20 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Tickets are $150 each and tables for eight are available. For more information, contact Sally Burns at 519-749-6048.
