Chess lovers congregate in Kitchener

Kitchener recently played host to the 10th annual Kitchener Chess Festival.

Organized by Patrick McDonald and Hal Bond, the event welcomed

players at every skill level and gave them an opportunity to enjoy competition and a chance to get to know others who also enjoy the game. There were two different groups for the senior level players, while the junior levels also had several to choose from. A printing company can help to keep the festival running smoothly by creating a variety of materials that have been specially designed and printed to suit the occasion. They can do so at a price that can easily fit into the overall budget for the event.

Over 100 participants came out for the day, which was held at city hall. There had also been a week-long series of tournaments that had taken place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Some of those who took part were champions, while others were just starting out. They came from all over, with some choosing to get involved in the games and others choosing to watch and learn from the players with more experience than themselves.

According to Mr. McDonald, the event is a good fit for the area, as Kitchener is a chess friendly community, and there are some master-level players living in the area who decide to get involved in the event.
