Since the loss of their four year old son, the Kitchener couple has been committed to helping kick off the Canadian Cancer Society’s local campaign during April. The Querins attended a special event held in Kitchener this past Friday to kick off the annual April Cancer campaign to raise both money and awareness.
Experiencing a devastating loss is something that Kitchener couple Greg and Nina Querin know too much about - their youngest son battled and lost his struggle against a rare form of childhood cancer. The Quenrins also know that loss can lead to hope, inspiration and ultimately gain in their fight against cancer.
April is daffodil month and in addition to bunches of daffodils, the Society will be sending out flyer printing for donations and encouraging people to wear the daffodil pin.
This year will be extra special and an important opportunity for local Kitchener printers to become involved in an important charitable cause. The cancer society will be partnered up with Canadian Blood Services, which delivers vital transfusions to cancer patients, another personal cause dear to the Querins, as their son required numerous transfusions whilst undergoing chemotherapy.
The Canadian Blood Services hopes that its partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society will encourage more people will become involved in blood donation, since it estimates that less than 4% of eligible people donate blood.
Print companies will become involved in advertising the campaign and partnership, as well as promoting other events dedicated to fundraising for both causes, such as the annual Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Get a Free Quote for Print
