Blues festival to feature Canadian rock icons

The Kitchener Blues Festival is returning to the city for four days this August.

This popular event, which often attracts thousands of visitors each year, will kick off with a concert on the Old Clocktower Stage with Burton Cummings, Devon Allman, and the Conor Goins Band. It will be followed the next night with a concert by Randy Bachman, the North Mississippi Allstars, and John Knight and Soulstack.

Tickets for each of these concerts are $50 in advance, $60 on the day of the show, and $125 for gold passes, which includes access to a cash bar and specialty seating for the entire festival.

There will be plenty of free concerts on four stages, featuring musicians such as the Joel Johnson Blues Band, the Edgar Winter Band, and the 24th St. Wailers.

There will also be workshops on topics such as rockabilly, along with tributes to B.B. King and Johnny Winter. A youth legacy showcase will be held, as well as a performance by kids between the ages of 12 and 18 who recently attended the Grand River Blues Camp.

This Kitchener event is always highly advertised in the local community, often with Flyers and Posters obtained from local Print companies.
