Art on display in Downtown Kitchener

Downtown Kitchener is currently the venue for a unique and rare art display that hopes to encourage many visitors and may prompt a printed advertising campaign through local printing companies.

The five complementary works of art are entitled ‘Treasures of China’ and feature religious artifacts and works not normally seen outside of China, bridging together Eastern and Western styles and themes. The exhibit opened on September 23 and will continue to be displayed until March at Kitchener’s Themuseum, featuring an impressive 45 contemporary works of art, as well as 15 unique oil paintings based on rock paintings.

Treasures of China is the result of a type of cultural exchange between Canada and China, and 15 important Chinese officials were on hand at the September 23 opening. The display is also being supported by a whole host of cultural events, including performances, films workshops, and seminars.

A number of printing opportunities exist to promote the Treasures of China exhibits and the cultural exchanges that part of the exhibit. Flyer printing or brochure printing about the Themuseum’s 10-day tour of China next March is one printing service that local companies can provide. Other important ones include poster printing about the artists and works at the exhibit, as well as poster advertising about other cultural events associated with the display. Printed advertising will also no doubt be featured in areas in the Canadian-Chinese community throughout the Greater Toronto area.

The much anticipated art exhibit will also have varieties of miniatures, oil paintings, and mini sculptures to take home.
