The deadline is quickly approaching for the Battle for the Boot 2012 and printing companies have been hard at work helping to promote this highly anticipated annual event.
Tickets are currently on sale and a healthy amount of poster printing promoting the upcoming event is visible throughout many parts of the Greater Toronto Area. The Bunker at Downsview Park features bleachers, a licensed venue for trackside drinking, and a large facility to accommodate the exciting extreme sporting event.
The ticketed all-women’s sporting event will host the famed ‘Battle of the Boot’ and will see the Gore Gore Rollergirls, who are the three-time champions, square off against the Chicks Ahoy, who are two-time champions and current Boot holders. Tickets will be $12 in advance or $18 at the door, with the winners bidding for Toronto Roller Derby (ToRD) domination.
Like any sporting event, the event at Downsview Park will offer lots of promotional opportunities for local printing companies. Brochure and booklet printing about the teams and schedule at the actual venue will no doubt be another important printing service to ensure the event is a success.
The ToRD league will be taking place at The Bunker at Toronto’s very own Downsview Park this Saturday, September 22. The park is located at the Downsview subway stop on the TTC line and hosts a variety of events throughout the year that printing companies often promote, including concerts, environmental events, extreme sports, regular sports events, and nature conventions.
