Toronto Public Library fundraiser to bring out the authors

The 9th annual Book Lover's Ball is taking place in Toronto this February. It is a fundraising event for the Toronto Public Library Foundation, and will be hoping to beat last year's event’s total of $50,000 raised.

This premium event is set to feature more than 60 authors, including Andrew Pipe, Michael Ignatieff, and John Boyko. The host for the evening will be Tracy Moore of CITY TV. The Ball will include a red carpet, a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres and authors, a three-course meal, silent and live auctions, and entertainment based on a chapter each of novels by some of the writers in attendance. Authors will also be interviewed during dinner by the Live Eye.

Donations for both the live and silent auctions are still being accepted. Sponsors can also purchase a table for 10 for $10,000, which will ensure they dine with a famous author and all guests will receive gifts. Alternatively, they can purchase a corporate table for $7,500. Sponsors will be recognized in the program guide and on a table tent card.

It's likely that guests will come from all over the Toronto area, including Downsview, to attend this exciting event. The program guide will serve as a souvenir to help them remember the event. Usually, program guides are provided by local brochure printers.

The Book Lover's Ball is taking place at the Fairmont Royal York on February 6 from 6:00 pm until midnight.Tickets are $750 each. To find out more about the evening's activities, contact Mimosa Kabir at 416-393-7237.
