Toronto offers options for New Year's Eve

The residents of Toronto have a big decision to make at the end of the month, with two special New Year’s Eve events taking place in the area.

The 11th annual NYE Family Countdown at the Toronto Zoo will let families celebrate the occasion earlier in the day. It is set to feature special appearances from some of the animals, music from The Decades, and entertainment in the form of the Majnx Magic Show. The evening will end with a special children's countdown at 8:00pm.

Despite rumors that it would not take place this year, the city of Toronto will also be hosting its annual New Year's Eve celebration at Nathan Phillips Square. This time it will be hosted by Chevrolet City. Around 70,000 people are expected to show up for the event. There will be street curling, ice skating, food trucks, and a photo booth. Musical guests such as Fat Head, God Made Me Funky, and DJ Clymaxx will entertain the crowd. The evening will end with a fireworks display at midnight.

Both of the celebrations will no doubt draw visitors from towns and cities across the GTA, including Downsview. For special events, local printing companies are often asked to provide items such as Banners and Posters to boost publicity throughout the community.

The NYE Family Countdown is taking place at the Toronto Zoo from 5:00-8:00pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for those aged three to 12; children aged two and under are admitted free. For more information, call 416-392-5929.
