ROM to offer the ultimate museum pass

Children and adults are invited to spend the night at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) during the ‘ROMKids Sleepovers’ adventure.

Billed as the ‘ultimate backstage museum pass’, it offers exclusive access to the museum’s displays and artifacts with ROM guides on site to bring the museum to life. Before bedtime, kids and their parents will be invited to explore and touch some of the museum’s most popular exhibits, including the CIBC Discovery Gallery and the Patrick and Barbara Keenan Family Gallery of Biodiversity.

The night will also include a screening of the popular movie ‘Night at the Museum’, kid-friendly crafts and activities, a ‘Karaoke PJ Party’, a late night snack, and a continental breakfast in the morning.

Posters and Signs may be used to promote this event, depicting children sleeping beneath the giant dinosaur exhibit found in the Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery and Canada Court.

Sleepovers have been planned for Friday, March 2 and Friday, April 6, beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday, and ending at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. Sleepover passes include full museum access for the evening and the following day.

The sleepover is open for all children ages five and up with adult supervision. Tickets costs are $88 per person, or $77 for ROM members. Memberships offer the best value, and are frequently purchased by residents in neighboring communities, including Downsview, Vaughan, and Markham.
