Fusion of Taste celebration will highlight Albion Islington area

The Albion Islington Fusion of Taste is set to take place in Islington next month. It is a free event presented by the Albion Islington Business Improvement Area.

Visitors to the event will get to enjoy samples of food from the area’s restaurants and caterers. Several bands will be performing during the day, as will wandering buskers. There will be a children's area set up, amusement rides and carnival games. Arts and crafts vendors will also have booths set up and there will be and displays by community organizations.

As part of the celebrations, stores in the area will be open late and will likely be featuring some special shopping discounts during the day.

There will be several competitions held during the day, including a children's drawing contest and a doubles eating challenge. In addition, Spider Jones will be inducted into the area's Wall of Fame. There should be at least one event to appeal to every member of the family, no matter their age.

Both food and arts and crafts vendors are encouraged to dress up their booths to attract attention from those attending the festival. Many of the vendors, who will likely come from all over the GTA, including nearby Downsview, will no doubt be investing in services such as sign and banner printing to prepare.

The 7th annual Albion Islington Fusion of Taste will take place at Albion Road and Islington Avenue on July 20 from 12:00 - 10:30pm. For more information, call 416-743-3267.
