Downsview is home to a park that was formerly a cold war era air force base. It is a popular gathering spot for GTA residents, and this summer, it will be the location for a celebration that will give local culture a chance to shine.
The two-day Taste of Culture Ontario Festival will be a way to travel the world without having to leave home, and it will be a feast for all the senses. Music, art, food, dancing and many other cultural offerings have been added to the schedule, and its anticipated that the gathering will attract a good crowd.
During the festival, Downsview Park will be transformed into a huge outdoor venue, and it will be filled with tents and pavilions that will house displays, activities and vendors. Admission is free, and there will be a special area filled with child-friendly fun. It will open at 11am on both days, and with lots to see and do, visitors may want to attend both days.
When planning an event like this, it can be a good idea to stop by a printing services company as they will be able to supply a range of printed materials, and can also offer helpful advice and other assistance.
This celebration of what makes the GTA such a great place to live, work and play has been scheduled for July 18th and 19th. More details can be found on its website.
